All Pro Garage Door Warranty Service
Lifetime Warranty
Don’t be fooled by Lifetime Warranties. Most warranties are for materials only and you need to read the manufactures literature or their website to find out what is and what is not covered. Like most door companies, All Pro Garage Door Service does not manufacture any materials, we merely install them. So any warranty we issue is basically just for labor. Although we do offer a lifetime warranty on some door spring repairs, this only covers the spring component and the labor to install it.
When it comes to the Garage Door warranty, most manufactures only cover the door sections (or panels) for a given period of time, like 15 years or even Lifetime, but the door springs, hinges and such items typically carry only a 3 year warranty. There are some exceptions to this and All Pro Garage Door can help you select the appropriate door for your home and your needs.
Here at All Pro Garage Door Service we offer a 3 year labor warranty on our door installations. Our standard warranty is 18 months, however if you fill out a simple survey about the quality of your shopping experience, we will double your labor warranty to a full 3 years. A 3 year labor warranty assures the Home Owner will have no concerns about installation problems or the performance of the door. Warranty issues typically show up in the first few weeks, not months or years later.
Our Lifetime Warranty
On Service: If you wish, and for an additional cost, All Pro Garage Door Service can provide an upgraded torsion spring for your door repair that is called a “high cycle” spring. A “cycle” is one opening and one closing of the garage door.
Be careful…one company’s idea of “high cycle” and another company’s idea can be quite different. Most basic door springs are under 15,000 cycles for a residential door. High cycle to one company might be 20,000 cycles, but here at All Pro Garage Door Service our high cycle springs are a minimum of 50,000 cycles and because of this we can warranty the spring for the life of the door.
Do the math…if you don’t need or require a high cycle spring, don’t pay the substantial price for one. For a typical family with one car in the garage, the garage will cycle about 20 time a week, which is only a little over 1,000 a year. So a basic spring will last you quite a long time.
On Doors: To have a door with a lifetime warranty, it must be serviced periodically to maintain the proper balance and assure it is working properly. This requires an expert door company to visit the home once a year and service the moving parts and align any tracks, hinges, rollers or cables that might need attention. For an annual fee, All Pro Garage Door Service will perform these services and if at any time during the 12 month period following a service, a component of the door should fail from normal wear and tear, we will replace the component at no charge for parts and labor. This lifetime warranty has some limitations, so ask for a copy prior to signing up.
Is a lifetime warranty for me?…Probably not. Most homes change owners every 7 years. Doing some garage door maintenance your self and every 2 years having our door company come out and service it will be far less expensive for you and the door will likely work just as well and safely. However a lifetime warranty is a good idea for an absent owner or property manager that does not do their own maintenance and upkeep to the door. In this case, the owner or property manage will have that peace of mind that the door system is being well maintained by our company and there will be no unexpected large bills for warn out parts.
Service Contracts
All Pro Garage Door Service can tailor a service contract to meet your individual needs. Perhaps an absent owner or property manager might require an annual visit for service, but others may only need us every two years. We can put a plan together for you that best meets your needs.
